Surprising Ways to Unlock Your Potential

Dancing Elephants Book Project: Motivation

Photo by Antonino Visalli on Unsplash

A year back, if someone had told me that my words could uplift people across the globe, I would have laughed hard. But today, I swear by it.

I wake up energised by new ideas. There is a high urge to manifest such thoughts in my writing. I act on it with an impulse need, giving it all of me.

With an undivided focus and attention, the obstacles appear smaller in front of my will. My persistence puts any challenge to shame. Emerging through all the tests and trials, I have learned to go far, listening only to my heart.

So, what force keeps me going, pushing my limits and expanding my beliefs about myself?

What fuels my burning desire to work on complex projects, giving me limitless energy to thrive through the thick and thin?

What gives me the courage to risk going into the unknown, daring to do new things?

The powerful force that drives me towards my meaningful goals and helps me stay engaged with them is the big M word: MOTIVATION.

This article is about my fail-proof motivation process!

Know thyself

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom -Aristotle.

Nothing is more liberating than living true to our beliefs.

It takes an enormous amount of time, effort, analysis, and self-reflection to identify one’s strengths/weaknesses, likes/dislikes, interests/abilities, and the purpose of our existence. But, it is the best investment ever!

Knowing ourselves too well is the only way to break free from other people’s judgements and opinions about us. With nothing to weigh us down, we are prepared to face any challenges that come in the way of pursuing our dreams!

In hindsight, I moved out of workplaces where I felt stressed by incompetent management. Being micromanaged, my vision was restricted to deadlines. I felt like a robot delivering the expected outcome. There was so much pressure to deliver under constant surveillance.

Instead, I flourished in my work when I had the freedom to do it my way. I woke up to do my meaningful job, which made me feel valued and trusted. I felt motivated to work beyond expectations, making a huge impact on the project.

Shrinking myself to fit into places I never belonged, I have come far enough to say NO to projects that will not drive me from within.

Find your superpowers

Knowing oneself is the first step to realise the superpowers, a combination of innate qualities and expertise developed through life experiences.

My superpower is making life choices that align with my beliefs, come what may!

To fight until the end of the battle without giving up on my values!

In best times and worst, all I ever need to kickstart my motivation button is to remind myself of my superpowers!

Replacing “why me?” with “only one me!” lets me look at the situations from a different perspective.

I believe every obstacle is an opportunity waiting at my doorstep to unlock my potential: To show the world who I am!

Own your story

The best part of living life on my terms is:

It is never too late to make new changes.

I am not afraid of making mistakes.

I take responsibility for my actions.

Like a butterfly effect, the source of all good things in life comes from our thoughts! Thoughts originate from our good intentions!

When we constantly replace negative thoughts with positive self-talk, our minds are trained only to think positively. What we tell ourselves is what we eventually become!

My belief that I make a positive impression replaces any fears or doubts in my mind.

Following my heart’s way, I stand tall, watching the insecurities bow to my self-confidence.

Escaping the mundane, flying high with limitless thoughts, I realise the true wonders of life.

The story I tell myself inspires me to create many more beautiful chapters in my life!

You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness -Brene Brown.

Find your tribe

To be your best self, find your people!

I am so glad I have mine.

When my hopes are drowning, and everything falls apart, I am blessed to have people in my life who can pull me out of the deep waters in no time. All they would ask me to do is to stop fussing and just get out. And that is precisely what I would love to hear too!

Finding like-minded souls has been a game changer in finding my motivation.

They are my well-wishers, invested in my growth.

They aspire me to be my best, living up to my fullest potential!

They help me find my light in the dark.

They are my power backup when the battery blinks red.

They are constant reminders of where I should be headed.

Being with the right people at the right time doesn’t hold true for me anymore. Because when we are with the right people, the timing is always right!

Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; Spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life -Amy Poehler.

Takeaway

Motivating ourselves from within is the only way to become unstoppable in the journey of pursuing dreams. To keep nurturing our inner fire, all we need is:

Know yourself to turn your motivation ON at any time!

Own your story. It is never too late to create a new chapter.

Find your tribe. They are the main characters in your story!

Eat. Exercise. Rest. Repeat.

DEP Book Project: Exercise/Healthy Eating Tips

Photo from Pexels by Miriam Espacio

God created humans with the most complex system ever, the human body! The body’s unique design allows it to self-heal and live through adverse weather conditions and extreme environments.

While He carefully chose to automate the body’s internal working, he willfully left the maintenance work to our common sense.

The rest of the article is about how we care for such fantastic bodies!

Eat

The best advice I ever received is “Eat well.” It is funny how I only learned it the hard way.

After falling for all the fad diets in my 20s, I lost much more than just my body weight. Although the lost pounds returned once I resumed eating normally; I had to work harder to build back the strength in my body.

I lost 15 lbs in 2 months, eating only salads and soups. The occasional sandwiches were my treat. I avoided carbs. I mainly ate fresh fruits, vegetables and pulses and believed it was enough for my body. I never cared to listen to it. I kept dismissing its signals.

I resisted hunger. I distracted myself to avoid eating, so I could look good. While my outward appearance looked great, my body suffered deep inside.

The worst part was no one else knew the truth but me.

I realized something was wrong when I lost my sleep to chronic knee pain. It bothered me so much every day that I reluctantly agreed to visit the doctor.

The doctor’s advice hit me harder than the pain in my knees. He asked me to avoid walking or standing for a long time and lifting any weights. I listened to him staring at his prescription for a bunch of pain killers, vitamins and minerals supplements.

His voice echoed in my ears long after he finished talking. This knee pain resulted from all the nutrients you had cut from your diet!

It was my wake-up call to eat healthy food for my body. I realised it is the only way to nourish the body and allow it to function optimally. There is no shortcut.

Our body needs a balanced diet. Cutting carbs/protein/fat or any other essential nutrients may eventually only lead to long-term health issues.

Choose a diet, you can live with for life. Because Food is Love. Food is Life -Rujuta Diwekar.

Exercise

My knees badly wanted those pain relievers at the doctor’s office, but I promised them something else.

I took a gym membership and started strength training with the help of a personal trainer. I never believed in love at first sight until I worked those weights during my training. At the end of every session, I was the one in charge, conquering my pain a bit more than yesterday.

One year later, I was in my best form, performing deadlifts, 1.5 times my body weight. The trainer calls me a natural, crediting the performance to my best asset: My Legs!

Three years later, my knees thanked me for keeping my words at the finish line of the half-marathon race when my daughter was a year old — a massive accomplishment for someone who was once susceptible to her body weight, let alone carrying a baby through the pregnancy!

Another baby later, I returned to running and trained for another half-marathon race. A few years later, I am now back to lifting weights in the gym, and I cannot thank my body enough for delivering the best! All I ever have to do is feed it nutritious food to help it recover!

I am glad I did not settle for the doctor’s prescription or the norms about women’s weightlifting or long-running. I could have never found the robust version of my body that had long yearned to outperform the thoughts in my mind!

I thank my body for going above and beyond! The bounds of confidence and positivity it brings into my daily life are priceless!

Surprising facts and the most infamous question

  • In my best form of health, I was 10+ pounds heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight, even after all the hardcore training. I lost inches and gained a super-toned body with an excellent muscle mass percentage! So, the next time you dread the weighing scale, grab the measuring tape!
  • I started running again after my second pregnancy and was surprised to find how easy it was to catch up and improve my mileage. Thanks to muscle memory. It works wonders! Mind you; Every workout counts!
  • Being healthy looks different for everybody!! According to the BMI calculator, I am borderline overweight. But, my running and weight lifting performance have peaked at an all-time high!

Fitness is not about having a picture-perfect image. It is about feeling good, inside and out!

  • My favourite part of my current lifestyle is that I don’t put on weight even when I have not worked out for more than a week or ten days. My body conveniently sticks with its current weight, allowing me to be comfortable in my skin!
  • Only we know our bodies, the best! There are days I wake up feeling bloated because of sleepless nights or stressful work. And that is ok. Life happens, and judging my body is unfair because I slipped a few days!
  • The only way I have found to measure my progress is by looking in the mirror and beating the damn performance of that person I see there!
  • Some days, I want to rest, and sometimes, I must force-stop myself to avoid overuse injury! Rest and Recovery are as crucial as the workouts to achieve the best results!

Fitness is a lifelong commitment; I don’t believe in cheating my body to indulge in that sizzling brownie with ice cream.

  • I bet I burned more calories answering the most overrated question: How much weight did you lose?! For starters, weight loss was never my goal. So, please ask me what I gained instead!
  • Body weight says nothing about our underlying health condition. I have friends who look slim with high cholesterol levels and people who are on a diet with hormonal disorders. Next time you want to go on a crazy diet to lose weight, ask yourself: Is it worth your body?
  • The game-changer of my fitness journey has been my beautiful body! Falling in love with it and accepting it has been the best decision ever.

Health is not just being disease-free. Health is when every cell in your body is bouncing with joy -Sadhguru.

Be realistic, expect a miracle -Osho.

Every snowflake is unique. Leaves of the same tree differ in their shades of green. Every sea wave is formed at a different speed than the others. Nature never stops amusing me.

With each passing day and night, I realise miracles are within our reach.

All it takes for us is to believe! And continue to believe, through the thick and thin!

What you believe, you receive -Gabby Bernstein.

Life is about creating yourself

Until a few years back, I used to think my problems were big. Planning vigorously for the future, I caught myself time and again in the waves of anxiety. I never understood “slow down”.

I was busy ticking the checklist of my goals, one by one. Every Monday, I waited for Friday evenings. I wanted the weekends to go on for a bit longer.

My life plans were based on wishful thinking. I used to save my best clothes for occasions and wait for the marked days on the calendar to have some fun!

When my daughter was born, everything changed. She has an innate love for nature. She enjoys going on nature walks. Swaying her hands, she listens to the singing birds. She collects peculiar rocks and shells on the beach. She stops by to smell some flowers and gets excited to see the roly-poly bugs. With every step, she pauses to pay attention to everything around her.

She walks at her own pace, dismissing the concept of time. To my surprise, the world waits for her!

She enables me to experience the beauty in everything around me.

I have come to realise the power of living in the moment. Life is happening in the NOW, and there is no better time to live it fully.

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself -George Bernard Shaw.

Life doesn’t happen to you. It happens for you

Quote: Jim Carrey

A flip in mindset can turn a stone into a diamond.

In hindsight, the best parts of my life happened when my plans failed. 99% of the time, what I worried about never happened. People I met by accident became the game changers in my life. I find a piece of myself in every other person I meet!

Life has so much to offer if we care to notice the small details around us. There are beautiful surprises everywhere, waiting to be unwrapped. All we need to do is be present at the moment and become more aware!

Self-awareness is the key to living mindfully. The more we know about ourselves, we handle our situations more efficiently and live life on our terms.

When we train to detach our emotions from the problem and look at it without judgment, it becomes easy to spot the opportunities hidden within the problems.

I am always more curious to find out how my story unfolds! Life has shown me that anything is possible!

At times, when life situations overwhelm me, I drop everything and take a break. As I sit down with my high-energy companion, I notice the brown shade of my coffee warms my heart. Nothing awakens my senses like its aroma. I savour the eternity from the cup while its scent still lingers within me, long after every sip.

The best part of Coffee and Life lies in their bitterness. How we treat such bitter moments defines us and determines the level of our happiness and success.

This is my simple formula to live life, my style, with no regrets.

The essence of life is in the simple joys of living

When I think of happiness, the memories that come to my mind are the ones that have my signature laughs engraved on them! I feel proud of those times when I helped someone in a heartbeat. My heart instantly melts when I think about the unexpected compliments received for the work I did.

In all of the above instances, I was present at the moment to give and receive!

My days would be incomplete without these simple joys in my life: laughing out loud, running outdoors, picking my daughter’s brains, watching my son play, pranking my husband, chatting with my siblings, a long drive, an extra hot cup of coffee, and the list goes on…

I add unexpected flavours to each day, so my life is not a predictable timetable. I surprise myself by trying something new very often. And touch others with my kind words and warm compliments, I truly mean.

I share what I have found out in my life without holding back. Because I believe the joy of living lies not in finding but by sharing!

Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does. -William James.

Bring out the child in you

Last week, I was out on a family vacation, and my brother texted me to bring out the child in me. Little did I know then about the impact of those words.

On the first day of the trip, my family went for a walk from the hotel to the waterfalls. The path was curvy with freshly painted green leaves all over the trees, the stunning pink flowers competing with the purple ones. With the constant whistling birds in the background, we walked in the direction of the falls. In the midway, it started to rain, and we had to walk back to the hotel. However, I wanted to go for that walk one more time but alone.

The following morning, I woke up a bit early to go for the nature walk but had second thoughts about if I should really do it. I then remembered to bring out the child in me and instantly jumped out of my bed.

I created some breathtaking memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Takeaways:

  • It is never too late to create the life you want! Experience Life in the NOW!
  • Switch your attitude, discover opportunities in the given problem, and become ready to live life to the fullest!
  • Be present to savour the simple joys of life. The little things in life make up the best memories!
  • Awaken the child in you and experience life at a whole new level!

Life is a series of thousands of tiny little miracles. Notice them -Unknown.

Start Your Journey With Happiness Today

Dancing Elephants Book Project: Health and Wellness – Group 1

Photo by Drew Colins on Unsplash

A life well-lived is the most exquisite work of art -Erwin Mcmanus.

Health and Wellness are the pre-requisites to ensure an optimal state of being and enjoy a fulfilled life.

When we love ourselves enough, the self-healing body takes care of itself. The mind that is calm by nature comes into effect, and the soul dances in high spirit!

All it takes is to accept, love, and respect ourselves. And treat ourselves the way we would treat someone else.

Happiness is the highest form of health- Dalai Lama.

Happiness is a personal choice. It means different things to different people.

To me, happiness is:

Living a life that is rich in love and gratitude.

Courage to do things differently.

Gathering hope and confidence to smile through the pain.

To make a difference.

To become my best version.

The glowing smile on my face is only the reflection of my beautiful mind and a shining soul.

The greatest wealth is health -Virgil.

In my early school years, I used to be one of the best basketball players. I absolutely loved playing and took the game seriously. I never stopped playing once because I got hurt and was bleeding from the wound, or it started raining.

When I started high school, I stopped playing to focus on my studies. I hardly played after that.

I gained a few pounds of body weight when I started working my first job. The erratic work schedule, limitless food options, and less physical activity were not helping.

When self-realisation stuck, I steadily chased the number on the weighing scale. I believed health was all about maintaining particular body weight. I wish someone had helped me preserve my sanity then!

Name a crazy diet, and I have most probably tried it already. GM, Low Carb High Protein, Low Fat, Paleo, Vegan, No-dinner, Skip-breakfast, Salad-for-lunch, Juice diet and what not?! Sadly, I had nothing to lose except good health.

While I looked great on the outside, my organs suffered deep within. It was reflected in the form of intense pain and severe cramps. At one point, my knee pain became my constant baggage.

The red flag flew right at my face in the doctor’s office when I was diagnosed with mild arthritis. He blamed it on the fad diets. And advised me to start medication and limit any physical activity to manage the pain. Instead, I enrolled in the gym and signed up with a personal trainer.

I never believed in love at first sight until I started strength training!

The dumbbells and barbells brought my strength back to life! Girl Power!

At the finish line of the half-marathon race, I felt elated after a really long time in my life! It brought back the player in me!

What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters when compared to what lives within us! -Henry David Thoreau.

To this day, I continue to run and power lift to feel my vigour.

I am glad I gave my body a second chance to show its worth!

If you want to change something about yourself, start with your body!

Bet on yourself, and you will be amazed by the results!

Courage is a love affair with the unknown -Osho

The best chapters of my life have one thing in common: They happened when I dared to make bold decisions going against all the odds. Like marrying my husband, quitting my first job, rejecting a high-paying job offer from a different city, or buying our first new home overseas. The list goes on…

At the peak of the world pandemic, we decided to move to our home country from the dream city in a foreign land to stay close to family. We felt it was the right thing to do. The decision was made and executed in only 2 weeks. We started from scratch again. It was one of the best decisions ever!

Following our hearts is smoother than following the crowd if only we find the courage to believe in ourselves. Instilling the confidence within that we will persist, even when we have nothing left but ourselves.

Life becomes easy and stress-free when we fight for what we want. The joy of living allows us to enjoy our ride in our own style! With no regrets!

I have learned that in life, it is always worth taking that leap, making new mistakes, taking chances, trusting ourselves, and simply following our guts!

Listen to your heart! It always has something to say! It knows the way to your dreams, even from a thousand miles away!

You have nothing to prove to anybody -Maya Angelou.

I feel happy and motivated when I focus my energy on listening to my inner voice. In other words, explaining myself to others drains my energy like nothing else.

Not until recently did I find me in a loop answering questions about my self-care by people around me?! In their view, it is adding stress to an already busy working mom’s life.

How do I make them understand why I do what I do? I used to genuinely wonder! Until I noticed my explanation slowly drifted toward convincing them about my life choices. It became clear that I could never change other people’s opinions about me.

Nowadays, when someone questions “my” time, I redirect them to my article about self-care. The power of writing once to be read by many.

Don’t lose yourself in your roles

The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much and forgetting that you are special too -Ernest Hemingway.

I am a loving daughter, terrific sister, amazing wife, super mom, sweet in-law, and best friend you can never find. I am all of that and much more.

I don’t beat myself up because I forgot to do something for my kids one out of 100 times. Or I put my needs before someone else’s. I don’t judge my wants and let people see my worth by playing my way and not theirs.

When I think I failed as a parent, I remind myself that I am still acing at all the other roles! This thought eliminates my all-or-nothing approach and avoids the series of a catastrophe of emotions.

I am well aware that there will be beautiful times, thankless moments, ongoing challenges, and improvement needs in every role.

On my tough days and best, I remember that the privilege lies in having the chance to be the role.

This is enough to fill my cup with nothing but love and gratitude!

I don’t take anyone for granted, including me!

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

A life lived at less than its full potential is a life half wasted -Tony Clark.

I do something different very often. Doing something nice for a stranger gives me thrills. Adding new meaning to my life by making someone laugh at my cost during their difficult times. I find new ways to crack my husband, siblings, or parents. I like to play make-believe and random surprises with my kids. Simple everyday moments like these make my life colourful.

I have once been a victim of an idle mind, and the experience did not fair well. I felt depressed in my extreme boredom doing nothing. Ever since I found the root cause of my problem, I have engaged my brain by learning new skills, reading books, and writing. Knowledge keeps me alive and grounded.

Like our body, we also have only one brain. Use it to avoid losing it over trivial life matters.

Too often, we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which, have the potential to turn a life around -Leo Buscaglia.

Become your best version

There is no one like you in this world, and that alone is your superpower -N.R.Hart.

Every one of us is brought into this universe with a purpose. Finding the reason behind our existence is the key contributor to our success, happiness and peace of mind. Because we were born to do exactly that!

It took me two kids and 7 years to find my joy in running, strength in powerlifting weights at the gym, and my solace in writing.

My curiosity has been awakened. The more I discover about myself, the happier I become.

Surrounding myself with like-minded people and positive vibes has been instrumental in creating a seamless connection to my passion.

My mission in life is not merely to survive; but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style. -Maya Angelou.

Takeaways

Take care of your amazing body. You got only one!

Dare to live your dreams by listening to your heart. Live beautifully with no regrets!

Redirect your energy to focus on your inner voice.

Do not compromise and lose yourself in the roles you play. Tend to your needs and wants too.

Your brain screams “Use me or lose me”.

Become your best version by finding your purpose in life.

Let the joy in you light up the world! Make a difference now! Start your journey with happiness today!

Your Thoughts Can Make You Powerful

Dancing Elephants Book Project Positivity – Group1

Photo by Brooke Cagle on Unsplash

“Happy the man, and happy he alone,
he who can call today his own:
he who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today” -Horace.

The quote is a beautiful reminder that owning our life in the present is enough to face anything that may await us tomorrow.

I used to ponder so deep about:

Where does the happy man get his confidence from?

How dare he challenge fate to bring the worst?

What makes him feel so secure from within?

Until one day, I became the happy one and found my answers!

A few steps from my journey of becoming

When man plans, God laughs.

He must have been tired of laughing non-stop at me, those 18 months.

On my daughter’s 3rd birthday, I tested positive for my second pregnancy. How sweet, I thought! God smiled at me.

This pregnancy will be a cakewalk as I am fitter than ever, I proudly announced to my husband.

God chuckled at my test results. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes one more time.

In addition to pricking my fingers four times a day, I injected insulin on my pregnant tummy for the entire third trimester. I walked for two hours every day to ensure a natural birth. I couldn’t wait for the baby to come out. God pranked me with a c-section on the exact due date.

When the baby arrived, I thought the play had ended. God giggled at my sigh of relief.

In the next 6 months that followed, my life was made of nothing but “IFs” and “BUTs” and He ensured I did not miss a single loop in the chain of worst-case scenarios.

It all began 3 weeks after my son was born. While feeding the newborn, I got the shocking news, my work visa was denied. I re-read the mail a hundred times to confirm. The company lawyers filed an appeal to reconsider my case.

For starters, it meant I had to vacate the foreign country ASAP without anything I had built over 7 years in a blink of an eye. My husband and kids were good to stay. It was just my visa that was rejected during the renewal process.

My husband’s visa had an additional complication: If he travelled outside the country, he needed a visa stamping to re-enter. With all the new changes in the visa process, his chance to get a visa was slim.

All our non-immigrant friends advised leaving behind my husband and travelling with kids and my mother-in-law.

I had not even fully recovered from the childbirth yet. I desperately needed my husband to travel with us. The clueless mind in the postpartum body struggled to decide against compromising life values over the fear of visa rejection.

I refused to choose between separating the newly formed family for the sake of a visa. Isn’t the answer obvious? My heart repelled.

I felt trapped by my circumstance. Although my mind was well aware of the irreversible consequences awaiting downhill, my fierce heart refused to surrender to fate.

It felt good to imagine crushing the unknown fears to its last piece. A force rushed inside me reclaiming power over my situation. I was the only one in my control when everything else was out of whack.

My conscience continued to warn: What if everything fails?

My heart casually replied: I would still have a story to tell.

My husband agreed to do whatever I wanted. We booked tickets for the whole family to our home country. God grinned at my grit.

On the day of my husband’s visa interview: Spotting his face from a distance, I knew it didn’t go well. His application was put on administrative processing, which means it will take a few more weeks to make a final decision on his case.

He looked at me helplessly, and I reassured him, “We still have a chance. At least, it was not a flat out rejection.” God smirked at me and continued to test my valiance further.

The following week, my husband’s employer informed him that his job was at stake if he didn’t return sooner.

My application for the visa appeal was rejected.

We were not only homeless but borderline jobless with two kids.

I felt everything around me was going wrong. I had given it all of me. There was nothing else I could do anymore. The downward spiral was bestowed upon me.

In that hopeless moment, my heart was reminded: “When everything fails, it is a sign that the higher power is in action.

It was so right. I recollected similar incidents from my past.

I got back up and looked above with a playful smile.

If there was one thing that kept me moving through the never-ending tragic tunnel, it was the positive energy that was constantly flowing within me!

From the seed of positivity, my hope sprouted and revived my confidence. With newfound courage, this time, I laughed along with God.

What happened in the following weeks left every one of us in disbelief. It was nothing short of amazing.

My husband got his visa and flew back right away. My dependent visa was approved with no further due.

Finally, my kids and I joined my husband. In ten days, I woke up to the news, “Your work visa is approved.” I joined work the same day.

Everything was returned to me the way it was except one: ME!

I will never be the same person again! I have grown thousand times braver than before and more resilient than ever!

I admit, there were times I felt appalled and rejected. I experienced hatred and anger. I did imagine the unknown fear eating me in full. Those brief moments were also a reminder about the tough game I played. The weakest moments revealed the warrior in me!

The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places -Ernest Hemingway.

The answers I found in my darkest moments

Where does the happy one get his confidence from?

The happy one has a positive outlook that enables her to see the good in everything.

She is confident because she knows her self-worth. She believes in herself and her values. Her truth is reflected in her actions. Her thoughts and action are always in sync letting her be authentic at all times.

Staying positive doesn’t mean everything will turn out ok. Rather, it is knowing you will be ok, no matter how things turn out to be -Unknown.

How dare she challenge fate to bring the worst?

The happy one is in control of her life irrespective of her situation.

Her positive mind is filled with hope. Her unshakeable hope drives her to take the road less travelled. She fights against all the odds for what she believes! It gives her the courage to challenge fate!

You are always free to change your mind and choose a different future, or a different past -Richard Bach.

What makes her feel so secure from within?

The happy one lives for today. She is well aware, even heaven has no control over the past. And she cares less about the future.

She chooses to live NOW with no regrets.

She feels the most secure because her confidence, hope, and courage spring from her positivity with no bounds!

When success is your only option, positivity has to be your only choice -Germany Kent.

Have you ever wondered the whole universe was made for you? The sun, the moon, the planets, the stars, and everything else that takes turns to speak to you in its language. Every day of your life!

To watch over you, to reaffirm you, “You are not alone”. You were never alone!

I don’t take the breeze that wipes my painful tears for granted! The stars that come every night uninvited are a reminder there will always be a tomorrow!

I can sit still and be immersed in the sea. Watching the freshly made foamy waves hit the shore only to dissolve. In endless loops.

It makes me realize the abundance in the universe. The sun doesn’t stop shining brighter because it is just another day. Or the stars don’t reduce in number because nobody counts. The moon stops not showing up because of its glory.

The prosperity of nature is in the endless giving. In offering the species on earth, the best experience of living.

In the silence of our mind, the universe speaks to us.

To be able to hear, all we need is to believe in the Magnificence!

On Dec 31, 2021, one last item in my checklist blinked at me. Ah, the Coffee challenge about “New year resolution and what real problem in my life will I resolve in 2022”.

I wrote an article in the evening and managed to submit it at the last minute. I was lucky to find Ellie Jacobson online at that time and requested her to add me as a writer to the pub “Flint and Steel”. My first submission to the pub was accepted in a matter of minutes.

With only 5 minutes to 24:00. I submitted my published article to the challenge and it got accepted as the last article of the challenge.

Phew! What a way to end the year!

The year started with a sense of accomplishment.

I was not prepared for any of the pleasant surprises the new year held for me though.

The bountiful support from my fellow participants already made me feel like a winner!

And the top writer award from Medium is now history!

I expressed my thank you to the coffee times pub by submitting a second guest post to their substack newsletter.

When I submitted the article, I secretly wished to have my own newsletter someday that would adorn the subscribers’ inbox with positivity. And also help them discover the joy and beauty in their own lives.

I figured the newsletter would be something I could do for the rest of my life. With Passion. Setting my soul on fire!

But there was one problem: I didn’t know where to start.

Beware: Your secret wishes could come true

A few days later, the new coffee challenge announcement was made by Winston which was exactly about how to start our own substack newsletter and build an audience for our niche.

This has got to be the freaking universe listening to my silent wishes, I thought.

Nevertheless, that’s how “MagicBytes”, my substack newsletter was born.

Not convinced yet?

Now, as I was almost done setting up the newsletter, my ambitious self wondered: Would now be the right time to start planning my first book with a bunch of my re-affirming authentic stories?

[ Trust me, if I could write or talk about one thing uninterrupted for hours, it is Positivity.]

This time, the cosmos chose Sharing Randomly to deliver my surprise in the form of her mention.

In her article about the DEP book project, she invited me to participate.

This project expects the participating writer to commit to writing at least one story a month about the top five topics.

The surprise is that…..The first topic listed is: “Positivity”

when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it -Paulo Coelho.

As a believer who identifies herself with extreme optimism, I hope the reason for my participation in this book project is apparent by now!

I believe this is my calling to write my first book. And I want to honor it.

I want to be part of this project that I truly believe will create an amazing impact on the readers’ lives!

My love for writing comes from the urge to spread positivity and sprinkle joy in everyday life. And so I have a reason to believe my words will make all the difference!

It’s not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts -Mother Teresa.

A word of caution: please lookout for the signs from the universe as you pick the ten writers for your first book Lady Dr. Gabriella Korosi, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and Sharing Randomly.

Hail to the Universe!!
